A kindergarten is a day care institution which cares for children from the age of 2 years and 11 months and until they start school.
Kindergartens are staffed by qualified social educators and assistant social educators.
In a kindergarten, your child is involved in many activities and experiences every day. Your child’s development and well-being are strengthened through play and learning. Your child is able to develop his or her sense of self-worth in a safe and challenging environment, enabling him or her to handle future challenges at school.
Your experience as a parent with your child’s habits and routines is an important element in your collaboration with the institution. Tell staff about your child so that together you can ensure that your child thrives and develops both at home and in the institution.
